Workday Change & Communications Lead

Key Responsibilities

Change Management

  • Lead change management activities for Workday implementations, upgrades, and rollouts across HR, Finance, Payroll, and other Workday modules

  • Develop and execute integrated change strategies aligned to the overall Workday programme plan

  • Conduct change impact assessments and stakeholder analyses

  • Identify adoption risks and define mitigation actions

  • Support business readiness, cutover, and go-live activities

Communications

  • Create and deliver a clear, engaging communications strategy for Workday programmes

  • Develop communications materials including announcements, newsletters, FAQs, intranet content, leadership briefings, and go-live messaging

  • Ensure communications are timely, consistent, and tailored to different stakeholder groups

  • Act as a trusted advisor to programme leaders on messaging and change approach

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, Programme Managers, and Workday functional leads

  • Engage senior leaders and sponsors to ensure visible and active change sponsorship

  • Coordinate with external implementation partners where required

Training & Adoption Support

  • Collaborate with training leads to align change and learning strategies

  • Support the development of role-based training and user support materials

  • Help establish post-go-live adoption measurement and feedback mechanisms

Governance & Reporting

  • Track change and communications progress against plan

  • Report on adoption, readiness, and engagement metrics

  • Ensure alignment with organisational change frameworks and best practices

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience leading change management and communications for Workday implementations

  • Strong understanding of Workday modules (e.g. HCM, Finance, Payroll, Recruiting, Learning)

  • Demonstrated experience applying change management methodologies (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR, or equivalent)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

Desirable

  • Experience working in large-scale, complex transformation programmes

  • Background in HR, Finance, or enterprise systems transformation

  • Change or communications certification (e.g. Prosci, APMG, CIPD)
