Data Analyst – People Data & Analytics

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Location: Canary Wharf
Hybrid Working

Are you passionate about turning people data into meaningful insights? Do you enjoy working with stakeholders to solve problems, streamline processes, and bring data to life through compelling dashboards and reports? We’re looking for a talented Data Analyst to join our People Data & Analytics team on a 12-month FTC.

In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the People function-including Learning & Development-as well as Finance and Business Intelligence teams. You’ll help shape how people data is used across the organisation, ensuring leaders have the insights they need to drive impactful, strategic decision-making.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand people-related reporting needs and develop effective, scalable analytics solutions.

  • Design and deliver visually engaging dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Produce timely and accurate BAU and ad hoc reports for initiatives such as L&D programmes, audits, surveys, and client requests.

  • Maintain and enhance dashboards to keep them relevant, user-friendly, and aligned with business priorities.

  • Translate complex data into clear narratives, tailored for different audiences.

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in people data, identifying data quality issues and advising on naming conventions, data entry standards, and data governance best practices.

  • Ensure all analytics outputs comply with GDPR and internal security standards.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience in people data and analytics, ideally with exposure to L&D reporting.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI (or similar visualisation tools).

  • Experience with Cornerstone and knowledge of Workday reporting, SQL, or Power Automate is a strong advantage.

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Confident in data storytelling and producing executive-ready presentations.

  • Understanding of people systems, processes, and data governance.

What success looks like

  • Accurate and timely delivery of BAU and ad hoc reports.

  • High-quality dashboards that are consistently maintained and improved.

  • Proactive identification of data quality issues.

  • Positive feedback from stakeholders on clarity, insight, and reliability.

  • Strong working relationships across the People team and wider Business Services functions.
