Overview

We are supporting a client in London who is looking to engage an experienced Interim Workday Consultant with strong expertise across Absence, Time and Attendance. This is an initial 6 month contract and will play a key role in supporting the delivery and optimisation of Workday as part of a wider HR transformation programme.

The successful consultant will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT and the Workday implementation partner to ensure the Workday solution is configured effectively, aligned to business requirements, and ready for successful testing and go live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Workday Absence and Time and Attendance

  • Support the design, configuration, and optimisation of Workday modules in line with business requirements

  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate these into Workday solutions

  • Support workshops and design sessions with HR, operational teams, and business users

  • Partner with the Workday implementation partner to validate configuration and solution design

  • Support testing phases including system testing, integration testing, and UAT

  • Assist with test script creation, execution support, and defect resolution

  • Support data validation and ensure key business scenarios are covered end to end

  • Provide support for cutover and go live readiness activities

  • Support post go live hypercare where required

  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate appropriately

Required Experience

  • Strong experience as a Workday Consultant with hands on delivery experience in Absence and Time and Attendance

  • Proven experience supporting Workday implementations or major Workday change programmes

  • Strong understanding of Workday configuration, business processes, and security impacts within the modules

  • Experience working with HR and operational stakeholders to define requirements and support adoption

  • Confidence supporting testing and defect resolution across functional and technical teams

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced programme environment
