Overview
We’re looking for an experienced freelance QA Automation Engineer to support a client project focused on end-to-end quality across mobile, API, performance, and accessibility testing. You’ll work in a modern TypeScript-based automation stack and CI/CD-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation tests using Appium, WebdriverIO, and Cucumber (TypeScript)
- Execute cross-device testing on BrowserStack, integrated with GitHub Actions
- Build and maintain API integration tests using Supertest and Cucumber (TypeScript) within Azure DevOps pipelines
- Perform load testing using k6 and analyze performance results
- Conduct accessibility testing via BrowserStack
- Support manual verification where needed to ensure release quality
Requirements
- Proven experience as a freelance/contract QA engineer
- Strong hands-on expertise with Appium, WebdriverIO, Cucumber, and TypeScript
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps)
- Solid understanding of API testing (Supertest or similar)
- Experience with performance testing tools (k6 preferred)
- Familiarity with cross-browser/device testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack)
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across distributed teams
- Available to start immediately
