An AI-focused startup based in Berlin is looking for a Senior Backend / DevOps Engineer to help build and scale a production-grade platform used by data- and ML-driven teams. You’ll work close to the core of the product, owning backend systems and infrastructure that power AI workloads in real-world environments.
What you’ll do

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (Golang)

Own and evolve cloud-native infrastructure based on Kubernetes

Collaborate closely with ML engineers to support model training, deployment, and inference

Improve system reliability, observability, and performance in production

Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy

Automate deployments, scaling, and operational workflows
What we’re looking for

Strong professional experience with Golang in production systems

Hands-on experience running and operating Kubernetes at scale

Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring

Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment

Pragmatic mindset with a focus on reliability and simplicity
Nice to have

Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or data-intensive systems

Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, Prometheus, or similar tools
