About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing health tech scale-up, already revenue generating and trusted by a substantial and expanding customer base. They build technology that gives time back to the professionals who need it most – removing the administrative load that pulls people away from the work only they can do.
This is technology with a genuine social dividend. The product doesn’t replace people; it supports and amplifies the impact of the people using it. That combination – serious engineering standards paired with meaningful real-world outcomes – is what makes this team unusual.
They are well backed, growing quickly, and now expanding their engineering capability across the US and UK.
Your Mission
As a Backend Engineer, you’ll make sure data flows cleanly between our client’s platform and the third-party software their customers already run. - Build future-proof solutions – design and ship a scalable API, help set the standard in this space, and work directly with partners and clients
- Take end-to-end ownership – from idea and implementation through to the ongoing evolution of each integration
- Architect with foresight – design considered data models and durable solutions for genuinely complex systems
- Work with impact – your work gives professionals their time back, improves the quality of the data they rely on, and supports people doing extraordinary work every day
Your Skillset – What You Bring
- Several years of experience in backend development and API integration
- Proficiency with Kotlin and Coroutines in a production environment- this one is essential
- Strong API design and development experience with REST or GraphQL
- Business fluent English (C1)
Why This Role
- A product that is already commercially proven, not a bet on a future market
- Real ownership of a business-critical layer, not a ticket queue
- Direct exposure to customers and partners – you’ll see the consequences of your architectural decisions
- A team where the engineering bar is high and the mission is one people actually believe in
