What You’ll Work On
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll help design and scale the backend systems powering an AI assistant used in healthcare environments.
You’ll collaborate closely with product, AI/ML, and frontend teams while having real autonomy and ownership.
Your work will include:
* Building and evolving backend services using Kotlin
* Writing efficient, non-blocking code using Kotlin Coroutines
* Designing reliable, well-structured APIs
* Working alongside ML engineers to bring AI features safely into production
* Improving performance, scalability, and observability as the platform grows
* Making pragmatic engineering decisions focused on simplicity and maintainability
What They’re Looking For
You don’t need to tick every box, but strong candidates will have:
* Solid backend engineering experience with Kotlin
* Hands-on experience with Kotlin Coroutines
* Experience building APIs or distributed backend systems
* Good understanding of databases and data modelling
* A focus on code quality, testing, and maintainability
* Comfort working remotely with a high-trust team
