HR Administrator

Location: Flexible (Hybrid/Remote)

We’re looking for an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed professional services business undergoing significant expansion through acquisition.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing People function and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR across the organisation. You’ll provide high-quality administrative support across the employee lifecycle, maintaining accurate people data, supporting recruitment and onboarding, coordinating HR processes and helping to ensure a consistent employee experience across a growing national organisation.

About the Role

Reporting into the People team, you’ll provide hands-on HR administration support across the business. This is a varied role where you’ll help maintain employee records and HR systems, coordinate onboarding and offboarding, prepare HR documentation, support payroll and benefits processes, and respond to employee and manager queries.

You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and HR projects as the People function continues to develop and scale.

This position would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across the People function.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, absence, family leave and offboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, employee documentation and other HR correspondence.
  • Coordinate onboarding activity and ensure new starter documentation and systems are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support recruitment administration, including arranging interviews, communicating with candidates and preparing offer documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to annual leave, sickness absence and other employee data.
  • Respond to employee and manager queries in a professional, timely and confidential manner.
  • Produce HR reports and provide accurate people data to support the wider People team and business.
  • Ensure employee records and HR processes comply with GDPR, employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Support the development and improvement of HR processes, templates and guidance.
  • Assist with HR integration activity for newly acquired businesses, including employee data and documentation.
  • Support wider People projects and initiatives as the organisation continues to grow.

About You

You’ll be an organised, reliable and detail-focused HR professional who enjoys providing a high-quality service and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience in HR Administration, People Operations or a similar HR support role.
  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR administration.
  • Experience maintaining HR systems and accurate employee records.
  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation and GDPR.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
  • A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Confidence working with employees, managers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and contribute to a growing People function.
