HRIS Business Analyst

Location: Central London
Working model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Business Analyst to support a major HR systems transformation programme centred on SAP SuccessFactors.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in translating business needs into effective technology solutions, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, documented and traceable throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with HR, IT, project teams and external implementation partners, you will support solution design, build, testing and deployment, helping to ensure high-quality delivery and a smooth transition into business-as-usual (BAU) operations.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management capabilities and experience working across HRIS or business transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

Requirements gathering and analysis

  • Gather, analyse and document functional and non-functional business requirements.

  • Conduct gap analysis and contribute to solution definition.

  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete and aligned with business objectives.

  • Maintain requirements traceability across design, build, testing and deployment.

Project delivery and testing

  • Support solution design, system configuration, build and testing activities.

  • Develop test scenarios and test cases, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Track defects, coordinate resolution and support retesting.

  • Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet agreed requirements and quality standards.

Documentation and governance

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, requirements records and delivery artefacts.

  • Ensure documentation aligns with project methodologies and governance standards.

  • Support audit readiness, delivery assurance and compliance activities.

  • Prepare clear reports, presentations and supporting materials for stakeholders.

BAU transition and integration support

  • Support the transition from project delivery into BAU operations.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and develop training and support documentation.

  • Work with HRIS and operational teams to support ongoing system enhancements.

  • Contribute to the onboarding of new schools, business units and system integrations, ensuring readiness and effective adoption.

About you

You will be an analytical and delivery-focused Business Analyst who can confidently bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.

You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within HRIS, HR technology or business transformation programmes.

  • Experience supporting HR systems implementation or enhancement projects, ideally involving SAP SuccessFactors.

  • Strong requirements gathering, analysis, documentation and traceability skills.

  • Practical experience supporting system testing, UAT, defect management and resolution.

  • The ability to work effectively with a broad range of business and technical stakeholders, including external implementation partners.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on measurable outcomes and KPIs.

  • Strong organisation and time management skills, with the flexibility to manage competing priorities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively across different cultures and geographies.

Experience working in a complex, international or multi-site organisation would be advantageous.

Personal qualities

You will be someone who:

  • Collaborates with empathy: Builds strong relationships, shares knowledge and works inclusively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

  • Communicates with impact: Explains complex information clearly, listens actively and builds trust with stakeholders.

  • Makes considered decisions: Uses evidence, data and sound judgement to support effective outcomes.

  • Embraces change: Adapts to evolving priorities, navigates ambiguity and remains focused on delivery.

  • Drives growth: Takes initiative, identifies opportunities for improvement and strives for high-quality results.
