My client is transforming healthcare through AI, helping frontline healthcare professionals spend less time on administration and more time caring for patients. Their technology integrates with healthcare providers across Europe, streamlining documentation and improving operational efficiency.
Following continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced Freelance Backend Engineer to support their French market and build critical integrations with healthcare software platforms.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on backend engineering contract where you’ll design and build the integrations that connect voize’s platform with healthcare and hospital management systems.
Working as part of the French Market squad, you’ll take ownership of backend services and APIs, partnering with both internal teams and external software providers to deliver scalable, reliable integration solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build and maintain backend services using Kotlin
- Develop scalable REST APIs and system integrations
- Build interfaces between voize and healthcare software platforms
- Design robust data models and backend architecture
- Own features from design through to deployment
- Collaborate closely with product teams, partners and customers
- Ensure integrations are reliable, scalable and easy to maintain
What They’re Looking For
- Strong commercial backend development experience
- Excellent Kotlin development skills
- Experience designing and building REST APIs
- Strong experience integrating third-party systems
- Solid understanding of scalable backend architecture
- Fluent French (C1+) and strong English communication skills
- Able to commit to a minimum 3-month contract
Nice to Have
- Experience within HealthTech or regulated industries
- Experience working with complex data integrations
- Previous experience building SaaS products
