Their platform powers professional holiday rental operators and property managers, helping them manage bookings, guest communication, CRM, accounting workflows, automation, and operational processes across multiple booking platforms.

The business is fully remote-first, has teams distributed across Europe, and recently achieved unicorn status following significant funding and continued international growth.

They are now investing heavily in AI-driven product innovation and building a next-generation intelligent platform for their customers.

The Opportunity

The company is looking for a Backend AI Engineer to join a greenfield AI initiative focused on building intelligent, agent-driven customer experiences across their platform ecosystem.

You’ll help build a new AI platform that integrates across internal systems and enables customers to deploy AI-powered assistants and chatbot workflows directly into their websites and operational environments.

This is a highly product-focused engineering role within a modern SaaS environment – ideal for someone who has experience building and scaling products in product-led companies rather than consultancy environments.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Designing and building AI-powered backend systems and integrations

• Developing conversational AI and NLP-driven workflows

• Building multi-agent orchestration systems and AI agent workflows

• Creating integrations across CRM, operational, and platform systems

• Building scalable APIs and backend infrastructure

• Collaborating closely with distributed product and engineering teams

• Helping shape the architecture of next-generation AI products

Tech Stack & Experience

Required

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience

• Strong Python expertise

• Experience working within product-based companies or product-led engineering environments

• Strong preference for candidates coming from B2B SaaS or product engineering teams rather than consulting or agency backgrounds

• Recent experience working on AI/ML-focused projects

• Hands-on experience with NLP and conversational AI systems

• Experience building production-grade backend services and APIs

• Excellent communication skills and fluent English

Nice to Have

• Go (preferred secondary language)

• PHP exposure

• Experience with:

  • LangSmith

  • Langfuse

  • Pydantic AI

  • MCP servers

• Experience with multi-agent or agentic AI systems

• Background in B2B SaaS or product-led environments
