In May, a team from Annapurna’s (Charlie Appleyard, Nigel Fox & Dan Smith) took part in former England Rugby captain, Mike Tindall’s, tee off from the Brabazon Course at the Belfry Golf Club for the Cure Parkinson’s Trust. The Annapurna team was joined by other celebrities including Boyzone’s Ronan Keating and Keith Duffy, Westlife’s Brian McFadden, Liverpool FC’s Kenny Dalglish, Denise Van Outen and many others.
The competition rounded off with a gala dinner and entertainment from comedian Rory Bremner and featured a five-piece band walking amongst the dinner tables, encouraging over 100 guests to join in, with celebrations going well into the evening!
The Trust’s CEO, Will Cook, discussed improving research and the international clinical trial process, highlighting the importance of the work and funds of the CPT. The day also paid a special appreciation to Charlie who spoke about his own Parkinson’s diagnosis two years ago.
The team here at Annapurna were delighted to have took part in such a fun day, with funds going towards such a great charity which is very close to our heart.
