People Insight and Systems Manager (3 days/week in office)

The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and data-driven People Insight and Systems Manager to join our People team. This is a crucial role responsible for leveraging our HR systems and data to provide meaningful insights that inform our people strategy and drive business decisions. You will be the go-to person for HR data, reporting, and system optimisation, ensuring we have the right information at our fingertips to attract, develop, and retain top talent within our dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- HR Systems Management:
- Serve as the primary administrator and point of contact for our core HR system(s) (e.g., HRIS, ATS, Performance Management platforms).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all HR systems.
- Manage system configurations, updates, upgrades, and integrations with other business systems.
- Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and provide system support to the People team and wider business users.
- Identify opportunities to optimise system functionality and implement new features to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc HR reports and dashboards to provide key insights on workforce trends, performance metrics, and the effectiveness of people initiatives.
- Analyse HR data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement across the employee lifecycle (e.g., recruitment, engagement, turnover, performance, learning & development).
- Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for the People team and senior stakeholders.
- Work with the Head of People to define key HR metrics and develop frameworks for measuring the impact of people programs.
- People Insights and Strategy Support:
- Partner with the People team to understand their data needs and provide relevant information to support strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data-driven people strategies and initiatives.
- Support the delivery of employee surveys and analyse feedback to identify key drivers of engagement and areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in HR analytics and system management.
- Compliance and Data Governance:
- Ensure HR systems and data processes comply with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures for HR data.
- Support internal and external audits related to HR data and systems.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) in HR systems administration and HR data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in managing and configuring HRIS and other HR technology platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.
- Strong reporting and data visualisation skills (experience with tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or dedicated BI tools is an advantage).
- Solid understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, particularly in a part-time role.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Experience within the retail sector is desirable but not essential.
