To help you understand why we’re supporting reforestation in Nepal through JustOneTree, here’s a little backstory.
Why We Support Just One Tree
We’re always asked why we’re called ‘Annapurna’, and the answer is that it comes from a conservation area in Nepal and aims to demonstrate our commitment as a company to CSR and acting responsibly.
To highlight this commitment of ours, we also developed ‘Annapurna Giving’, our charity arm, which has won ‘Best CSR Initiative’ at the APSCo awards.
Through Annapurna Giving, we’ve helped hundreds of local UK-based charities to give back to our local communities, including; Soup Kitchen, Sport Parkinson’s, Tech She Can, Lives Not Knives, and Shooting Star Hospices, to name a few.
But given that our name was inherited from the Nepalese mountain range due to it’s symbolisation to giving back and acting responsibly, we felt it was necessary to do something meaningful there too. Hence, our partnership with JustOneTree.
About Just One Tree
Just One Tree is a charity on a mission to combat the effects of mass deforestation by planting trees through their global network of reforestation projects.
They support reforestation organisations around the globe, focusing on areas severely affected by mass deforestation. On average, Just One Tree helps plant a tree every 38 seconds*, helping make meaningful change to our climate and protect the future for generations to come.
Just One Tree plants trees in many locations, such as; Madagascar, Brazil, Haiti and more, but most importantly to us, Nepal.
