European Parkinson’s battlers football teams are competing in Copenhagen!

The UKYOPD (UK Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease) football team will represent the UK for the first time at the Ray Kennedy Cup in Copenhagen, the European Football Championship for Parkinson’s battlers.

Charlie Appleyard, Director and Co-Founder at Annapurna, will be captaining the UKYOPD FC who are taking part in the championship on Saturday 31st August 2019. This 7-a-side tournament will see different national teams from all over Europe compete for the trophy, all with the focal aim of raising awareness and money to support The Cure Parkinson’s Trust, whose mission is to find a cure for Parkinson’s battlers living with the disease.

Parkinson’s disease is affecting thousands of people in the UK every year. For this reason, Annapurna Giving supports The Cure Parkinson’s Trust and all their members to fund research to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s. Helping charities has always been part of our core values and priorities, especially when the value of life is crucial.
