Overview
We are supporting a client in London who is looking to engage an experienced Interim Workday Test Lead for an initial 6 month contract. This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful delivery of a Workday programme through robust test planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder management.
You will take ownership of the end to end testing approach across the Workday platform, working closely with the Workday implementation partner, internal HR and IT teams, and wider programme leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the end to end testing strategy and delivery for a Workday implementation

Develop and maintain the overall test plan, test approach, test schedule, and test governance

Manage and coordinate all phases of testing including system testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT, and end to end testing

Ensure clear test entry and exit criteria are defined and adhered to

Drive defect management processes including triage, prioritisation, reporting, and resolution tracking

Coordinate with business stakeholders to support UAT planning, scripting, and execution

Oversee test data requirements and work with technical teams to ensure appropriate test environments are available

Provide regular reporting to programme leadership including progress updates, risks, issues, and defect status

Work closely with Workday functional leads and technical teams to validate configuration and integration’s

Support readiness for go live by ensuring all testing deliverable are completed and signed off
Required Experience

Proven experience as a Test Lead on Workday implementations, ideally in complex or global environments

Strong understanding of Workday testing life cycle, governance, and best practice

Experience leading UAT with business users and managing senior stakeholders

Strong defect management experience and confidence working with technical and functional teams

Experience working with implementation partners and internal programme teams
