Job Title: Workday Absence & Time Tracking Specialist
Job Summary:
The Workday Absence & Time Tracking Specialist is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules. The specialist will work closely with HR, payroll, and IT teams to ensure efficient time and absence management practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

System Configuration and Maintenance:
- Configure and maintain Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules.
- Develop and update business processes, notifications, and alerts related to absence and time tracking.
- Implement and test enhancements or updates within the modules.
- Ensure the system is aligned with organizational policies and compliance requirements.

Data Management and Reporting:
- Manage and audit absence and time tracking data.
- Create, modify, and run reports for stakeholders to track attendance, time-off balances, and trends.
- Monitor time entry processes, identifying inconsistencies and errors.

Business Process Optimization:
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to optimize the time and absence tracking processes.
- Recommend and implement improvements to improve efficiency and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and process issues in a timely manner.

User Support and Training:
- Provide ongoing support to HR and employees for time and absence management-related inquiries.
- Train users on new features or system updates within the Workday platform.
- Develop user manuals and documentation for internal teams.

Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations, including FMLA, overtime, and leave policies.
- Conduct regular audits of time-off balances, leave requests, and timecard entries for accuracy and compliance.
- Support internal and external audits related to time and attendance data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Workday Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules, including configuration and maintenance.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, perform audits, and ensure data accuracy.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for training users, working with teams, and documenting processes.

Problem-Solving:
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with system configurations, resolve employee queries, and provide practical solutions to time tracking problems.

Project Management:
- Experience managing system upgrades, enhancements, or module implementations within Workday.

Attention to Detail:
- A high degree of accuracy in managing and auditing time tracking and absence data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll).
- Certification in Workday Absence & Time Tracking.
- Experience in HR, Payroll, or IT support roles related to Workday.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Workday, specifically in Absence and Time Tracking.
Work Environment:
- This position may require cross-departmental collaboration, so strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.
- May involve remote or on-site support depending on the organizational structure.
