Job Description: ESG Specialist
Position Overview:
The ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s sustainability strategy. This role is responsible for analyzing, developing, and implementing ESG initiatives and policies to ensure the organization adheres to best practices in sustainability, meets regulatory requirements, and delivers on its commitments to environmental and social responsibility. The ESG Specialist will work closely with various teams, including risk management, legal, operations, and investor relations, to integrate ESG principles across business functions and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

ESG Strategy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of the company’s ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and stakeholder expectations.

Data Collection & Analysis: Monitor, track, and analyze ESG metrics and KPIs, including carbon footprint, water usage, waste management, diversity metrics, human rights compliance, and governance practices.

Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of ESG reports in line with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP), investor expectations, and other voluntary disclosure standards.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify ESG risks and opportunities, assess their impact on the company’s operations, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., sustainability teams, finance, legal) and external stakeholders (e.g., investors, regulators, community groups) to communicate the company’s ESG performance, initiatives, and goals.
