A fast-growing SaaS software company based in Berlin is seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and scale its engineering organisation. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of technology strategy, delivery, and team performance across the business.
The Opportunity
As CTO, you will be responsible for the end-to-end engineering function, partnering closely with the executive team to drive product innovation, platform scalability, and operational excellence. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s technical vision as it scales its product, customer base, and teams.
Key Responsibilities

Own and execute the company’s technology and engineering strategy in line with business goals

Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering organisation (backend, frontend, infrastructure, QA, and DevOps)

Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and planning to delivery and maintenance

Ensure platform scalability, reliability, security, and performance as the business grows

Drive best practices in engineering processes, tooling, and culture

Collaborate closely with Product, Commercial, and Operations leadership

Manage technical debt and make pragmatic build vs buy decisions

Represent engineering at board and executive level discussions
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or senior engineering leader in a SaaS or product-led technology company

Strong background in modern cloud-based architectures and scalable systems

Experience leading teams through rapid growth and change
