Accountant – Compensation Accounting
📍 London | 🕒 Full-time | 💼 Financial Services / Asset Management

A leading global investment management firm is seeking an Accountant to take ownership of compensation-related accounting across its international offices. This role will be central to managing payroll and deferred compensation processes, working closely with HR, Investor Relations, and external auditors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

What You’ll Do

Manage all financial accounting bookings and reconciliations for global compensation data

Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on compensation accounting matters

Support regulatory reporting of employee compensation across multiple jurisdictions

Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Investor Relations, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on data and processes

What You’ll Bring

Part-qualified or fully qualified chartered accountant

3+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on compensation accounting

Experience with complex compensation structures, including deferred equity (preferred)

Knowledge of global accounting processes; hedge fund industry familiarity is a plus

Strong Excel skills with high attention to detail

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
