Annapurna Giving

A Unique Approach to CSR

As you may or may not already know, the name Annapurna comes from a conservation area in Nepal and aims to demonstrate our commitment as a company to CSR and acting responsibly.

Our Approach

When Annapurna was in its infancy, it was a member of 1% for the planet.  This meant 1% of all its turnover went to charitable organisations.  The only catch was that those organisations had to be environmental and, after having to chase special dispensation from 1% for the planet to give to the 'Beacon of Hope' in Cornwall, we realised that we wanted to do more.

In 2014, company directors Nigel Fox, Charlie Appleyard and James Ballard decided to launch Annapurna Giving, a platform designed to give to the charities they felt strongly about.  The organisations selected were a combination of environmental and social enterprise charities.

Since 2015, we asked you, our clients and candidates who you would like to see us support in the following year and the response is always overwhelming.

Alongside our ongoing donations, 11 of the Annapurna team ran the London Marathon in April 2016 and 2017 for the charities: Havens Hospice, Amnesty International, Rainbow Children's Charity & Parkinson's UK.

Charities selected for 2017!

A big thank you to everybody that helped us decide who to support.

  • Amnesty International
  • Friends of the Earth
  • Disasters Emergency Committee (Ebola Appeal)
  • The Soup Kitchen
  • Parkinson's UK
  • Haven's Hospices

This year we want to do more and not only donate to these wonderful causes but raise money for them too!
